Most of Sweden wants digital tax returns 2026
6 million Swedes receive their tax return in Kivra. It’s a no-brainer, really – no paper stacks to keep track of, just an app and 24/7 access.

Why do so many prefer it digitally?
Up to a month sooner
Skip unnecessary waiting! You’ll receive the tax return sometime between March 6-10, which is earlier than by paper mail.
Always close at hand
Anywhere, anytime. Perfect for flexible lifestyles.
Kind on the environment
Is turning trees into declaration forms really necessary? You (and millions of others) decide! Luckily, we have a really good option.

When will you receive the tax return 2026?
That obviously depends on whether you receive it digitally or on paper. If you get Kivra before March 1, you’ll get it between March 2-6. In comparison, the paper version will arrive between March 16 and April 15. That also applies to anyone who has switched off mail from authorities or the Swedish Tax Agency in the Kivra app. You can easily switch those back on in the app.

When can you get your tax refund 2026?
Pretty soon, actually. To receive it as soon as possible, i.e. April 7-10, you need to approve your declaration without any changes or additions by March 31 at the latest. Make sure you have a registered bank account at the Tax Agency or in the app so the money has somewhere to go.
